Always Stick Up For Yourself

Posted on: June 13, 2010

It is essential for you to always stand up for
yourself.  This means that you should never allow
           your peers to:
           1.  Put you down.
           2.  Call you names.
           3.  Gossip about you.
           4.  Badmouth you to a third party.
           5.  Treat you terribly.
           6.  Physically strike you.
           7.  Be verbally abusive towards you.
Standing up for yourself is great for developing
your self-esteem in the following ways:
           1.  You empower yourself over time.
           2.  You develop boundaries around yourself.
           3.  You know what you will and won’t put up with
           4.  You realize that you’re great and that you don’t
deserve to put up with abuse.
           5.  You realize that you need to assert yourself in
           order to feel empowered.
So, practise stick up for yourself. You will not only
be sticking up for yourself but you will be
           empowering yourself as well.
