You Can be Who you are
Adolescence is an uncertain time to be sure.
However, it is important that we all become
aware of who we are and what makes us tick.
Those are usually the beliefs and values that
we hold dear and that we should act in terms
of in order to develop into the individuals
who we will be proud of.
This isn’t easy though because of peer
pressure and everyone trying so hard to
conform to what our friends want us to be. We
feel insecure about being who we truly are with
our friends for fear of rejection and banishment.
Today’s reflection is for those of you who
feel very insecure and uncertain others. It is
very difficult to assert your values with others
if you feel as if you don’t belong or that others
don’t quite accept you as they accept others. If
you feel this way, please know that you’re not
Believe it or not, the best way for you to
overcome feelings of insecurity around others is
to assert who you are each time you act. That
way, if your peers accept you, they will be
accepting you for who you truly are. Rejoice
              and be glad!
