               Peer Pressure
Peer pressure is detrimental to our
well being and self-esteem. Many times, we
will do so many things because others are
doing it but not because we agree with these
things. And this can really make us feel bad
               over time.
Here are a few tips to alleviate peer
pressure so that you can assert who you truly
               1.  Don’t allow anyone to tell you what you
should do, especially if you don’t agree with
               the action.
               2.  Always do things that make you feel
good about yourself but not something that
               others will agree with.
               3.  Never allow others views about you to
hamper how you feel about yourself.
               4.  Never cling to a point of view just to
belong, especially if you don’t agree with that
               point of view.
               5.  Choose your friends wisely, and try not
to befriend kids who are pushy. True friends
will allow you to be yourself with them.
By following these tips you could assert
who you are and avoid the pressure to
               conform with a group’s values.
